Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC) and Apeejay School of Management (ASM) in Dwarka successfully organised Rajeshwari Kala Utsav, a vibrant celebration of art, culture, and creativity that brought together faculty members and students for an enriching and inspiring experience. The event paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul, while marking the 102nd birth anniversary of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul, the revered First Lady of the Apeejay Stya & Svran Group. The event reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to holistic education by seamlessly integrating artistic expression with professional learning.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome address by Prof. Saumya Satija, who set the tone for an engaging morning dedicated to cultural appreciation, creativity, and intellectual exchange. Welcoming the gathering, she highlighted the significance of nurturing artistic sensibilities alongside academic excellence to shape well-rounded individuals.

Delivering the inaugural address, Prof. Ashok Ogra, Advisor, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication (AIMC), spoke about the timeless relevance of art and culture in education. He emphasised that creative expression plays a vital role in developing empathy, imagination, and a broader perspective—qualities that are increasingly valuable in today’s dynamic professional landscape.
The audience was then addressed through the message by Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group and Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University , read by Dr. Srirang Jha, Programme Chair (PGDM), Apeejay School of Management (ASM). In her heartfelt message, Madam President, Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, fondly remembered her mother, Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul Ji, acknowledging her lifelong passion for art, culture, and education. The message celebrated her vision of nurturing creativity and preserving India’s rich artistic heritage, values that continue to inspire the institutions of Apeejay Education.

A major highlight of the event was the keynote address by Prof. Sajal Mukherjee, Director, AIMC, on the theme, “Importance of Art in a Professional’s Life.” Addressing students and faculty, he explained how artistic sensibilities contribute significantly to creativity, innovation, emotional intelligence, and effective communication—qualities that distinguish successful professionals across industries. He encouraged students to embrace the arts not merely as a form of creative expression but as a powerful tool for personal growth, problem-solving, and leadership.
Reflecting on the occasion, Prof. Sajal Mukherjee remarked, “Art is not separate from professional success; it enriches the way we think, communicate, and solve problems. In an increasingly complex world, creativity, empathy, and cultural awareness are invaluable qualities that every professional should cultivate. Rajeshwari Kala Utsav reminds us that education is most meaningful when it nurtures both competence and creativity.”

The cultural segment added vibrancy to the celebration through a series of captivating performances. Dr. Vernika Agarwal enthralled the audience with a soulful poetry recital, while Dr. Shweta Jha delivered a heartfelt musical performance. Their presentations were followed by devotional songs performed by students, whose enthusiasm, talent, and artistic expression reflected the vibrant cultural ethos of the Apeejay community. The performances received warm appreciation from the audience and reinforced the importance of preserving India’s rich artistic traditions.
The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Prof. Saumya Satija, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished speakers, performers, organising team, and participants for making Rajeshwari Kala Utsav a memorable success.
Through this celebration, Apeejay Dwarka Campus once again demonstrated its commitment to providing students with learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. By encouraging creativity, cultural appreciation, and holistic development, Rajeshwari Kala Utsav served as a meaningful tribute to the inspiring legacy of Mrs. Rajeshwari Paul while reinforcing the transformative role of art in shaping compassionate, innovative, and future-ready professionals.
