The announcement of the CBSE Class X Result 2026 on April 15 brought encouraging news, with more than 24 lakh students appearing and an overall pass percentage of 93.70 per cent. Girls continued their consistent lead, securing 94.99 per cent, while boys followed at 92.69 per cent, marking yet another year of strong academic outcomes.
Beyond the statistics, these results reflect the quiet effort, steady routines, and personal determination that shape each student’s journey. Meet Vaibhavi Kaushik (98.6%), Niyati Khare (98.2%), and Vedant R Malhotra (98.2%) from Apeejay School Sector 15, Faridabad, who brought accolades to the school and made their parents happy.
In an impromptu interview, she shares her study strategy among other things.
Your reaction on the result.
I felt extremely happy, and honestly, I still cannot fully describe that feeling. This achievement feels very special because it was completely unexpected. I had hoped to do well, but I never imagined I would secure the first rank. I always thought I might come second or third, so topping the school felt overwhelming and exciting, and it gave me a lot of confidence.
What was your study strategy?
My strategy was to stay consistent from the beginning rather than depend on last minute preparation. I studied regularly during unit tests and pre-Boards, which helped me stay on track. I relied mainly on NCERT and kept my resources limited. I also set daily targets to complete my syllabus on time. Towards the end, I focused on solving sample papers to improve my understanding of the exam pattern and time management.
How did your teachers support you?
My teachers played a very important role. They were very supportive and encouraging, especially when I felt stressed or disappointed with my performance. They motivated me and helped me stay confident. Managing studies along with swimming, school, and coaching was sometimes hectic, but their guidance helped me balance everything and stay focused.
What are your plans?
I have chosen the medical stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in Class XI. I have a strong interest in Biology and want to become a surgeon in the future. I plan to stay consistent and build a strong understanding of my subjects from the beginning.
