The JEE Advanced 2025 result is expected to be announced on June 2. Alongside the result, the official cut-off marks for IIT admissions will also be released. These marks play a crucial role in determining eligibility for the upcoming JoSAA counselling, which begins soon after the result declaration.

This year, 1,87,223 candidates appeared for the exam, including 1,43,810 boys and 43,413 girls. According to early feedback from candidates and experts, mathematics emerged as the most challenging section, followed by physics and chemistry.

In 2024, the cut-off marks witnessed a significant rise. For the General and EWS categories, the cut-off stood at 378, up from 348 in 2023. The OBC-NCL category saw an increase from 352 to 383, while the SC and ST cut-offs rose to 364 and 366, respectively, from 331 and 323.

However, experts now predict a slight decline in the 2025 cut-offs due to the increased exam difficulty. According to Nitin Vijay, CEO of Motion Education, the expected cut-offs are slightly lower: 92–95 for EWS and OBC, and 49–52 for SC and ST categories.

In 2024, the minimum qualifying aggregate for the Common Rank List (CRL) was 109, with at least 10 marks in each subject. Other categories had proportionately lower thresholds, with the Preparatory Course list requiring 27 aggregate marks.

The cut-offs are influenced by several factors including the number of candidates, seat availability, exam difficulty, and past trends. Candidates can view their response sheets at jeeadv.ac.in.
