Apeejay School, Noida celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, pride and patriotic fervour through a series of vibrant programmes. The celebrations brought together students and the school community to honour the nation’s freedom while reflecting on the responsibilities of being conscientious and responsible citizens.
The Independence Day celebrations commenced on the school ground with a warm welcome by the Head Girl and Head Boy. The atmosphere soon resonated with patriotic spirit as the school choir presented a soulful rendition of Vande Mataram, followed by the ceremonial hoisting of the National Flag. The entire school community joined in singing the National Anthem, marking the occasion with pride and respect.
The celebrations continued with a series of cultural presentations. A special talk by the Primary Department highlighted the significance of Independence Day, while graceful dance performances by the Middle and Senior Departments added colour and energy to the programme.


A heartfelt poem recitation further captured the emotions associated with the nation’s freedom. The Senior Wing enthralled the audience with the patriotic song Maa Tujhe Salaam, followed by a meaningful Nukkad Natak that conveyed an important social message through engaging theatre.
Principal of the school, Dr Neha Sharma addressed the gathering and inspired students to value the freedom they have inherited while contributing positively to the nation’s growth. Her address brought the celebrations to a meaningful close, leaving the school community with a renewed sense of gratitude, pride and commitment towards the country.
A day earlier, an inspiring Independence Day Assembly was organised on the theme My India, My Responsibility, reinforcing the message that nation-building begins with responsible citizens. The assembly featured a soulful choir performance and a meaningful talk encouraging students to practise responsibility through everyday actions such as keeping their surroundings clean, respecting others, following rules and conserving resources.
The highlight was a vibrant dance drama depicting India’s journey, diversity and values, while emphasising the role of young citizens in shaping the nation’s future.
The assembly also recognised students for their achievements in the Sports Guru Competition, held in May 2026 for Classes III to V. Winners in football and badminton were felicitated with medals, while students demonstrating commendable effort received badges.










Winners of the Spell Bee International Competition for the session 2025–26 were also felicitated with certificates and medals for their achievements.
The celebrations also extended to the youngest learners, with Balvatika 1 to Grade II students participating in a lively Independence Day presentation. They performed an energetic patriotic dance, while a few students dressed as inspiring freedom fighters, bringing their stories to life through creative costumes and confident performances.
Through music, dance, theatre, speeches and student achievements, Apeejay School Noida’s Independence Day celebrations beautifully combined patriotism with the values of responsibility, unity and citizenship.
The occasion left students with a lasting message: loving one’s country is not only about celebrating its freedom, but also about fulfilling one’s responsibilities towards it.
