A guest lecture on Digital Marketing was organised for the second-year students of the PGDM programme, offering them an opportunity to gain practical insights into one of the most dynamic areas of contemporary business. The session was delivered by Mr. Manan Bhargava, Digital Marketing Manager at Kashin, who brought his professional experience and industry knowledge to the classroom.

The session introduced students to the fundamentals of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and its significance in enhancing the online visibility of businesses. Mr. Bhargava explained how effective SEO strategies can help organisations improve their search rankings, attract relevant audiences and establish a stronger digital presence in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Moving beyond theoretical concepts, the guest speaker provided students with an overview of various dimensions of digital marketing and explained how organisations leverage digital platforms to connect with, engage and understand their target customers. Through practical examples drawn from industry experience, he demonstrated how digital marketing strategies are implemented in real-world business environments.

A key focus of the session was on the importance of keywords, search rankings and quality content in developing an effective digital marketing strategy. Mr. Bhargava also emphasised the need to understand customer behaviour, preferences and online interactions to create more relevant and impactful marketing campaigns. His insights enabled students to appreciate how data, content and audience understanding work together to influence digital marketing outcomes.

The interactive nature of the lecture encouraged students to actively participate and engage with the speaker. They raised questions about SEO practices, evolving digital marketing trends and the ways organisations can adapt their strategies to changing consumer behaviour and digital platforms. The discussion provided a valuable opportunity for students to clarify concepts and gain a deeper understanding of current industry practices.

The guest lecture successfully bridged the gap between classroom learning and corporate application, helping students understand how concepts studied as part of their PGDM curriculum translate into professional contexts. It also encouraged them to view digital marketing from a strategic perspective rather than simply as a promotional tool.

Overall, the session proved to be an informative, engaging and industry-oriented learning experience, equipping students with valuable practical knowledge and a broader perspective on the growing role of digital marketing and SEO in contemporary business.
