Apeejay Stya University gears up for “Interdisciplinary International Conference on Emerging Trends in Artificial Intelligence, Behavioural Sciences, Engineering & Technology”

Harshita DasWhile AI is capable of revolutionalising the socio economic development of societies, there are high levels of concern and anxiety about the possibilities of AI robotization replacing humans in many ways.
To deliberate on the same, the School of Engineering & Technology along with School of Behavioural Sciences of Apeejay Stya University are together organising an “Interdisciplinary International Conference” on 29 and 30 April 2024. The theme for the two-day mega conference “ICABET 2024” is “Emerging Trends in Artificial Intelligence, Behavioural Sciences, Engineering & Technology”
To be held in hybrid mode, this Interdisciplinary Conference aims to provide a platform for academicians, researchers, technologists, behavioural & social scientists, AI professionals, and practitioners to exchange ideas, insights, and advancements in various fields due to the evolution of AI and how it’s impacting each sector.
The keynote speaker for the conference is Prof. (Dr.) L. Sam. S. Manickam. A professor of Clinical Psychology, Mysore University, Dr. Manickam is also the Founder of Indian Psychologist Network and is the Member – Affiliate, American Psychological Association. He will be delivering his keynote speech on “ Emerging Trends: Impact of AI on other disciplines”.
With the support and encouragement from the Chief Patron Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education and Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, faculty members and students are preparing for “ICABET 2024” in full-swing.
The Chairperson and Advisor for the Conference is Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh, Vice Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University and Prof. (Dr.) Chetan Choudhary, Registrar, Apeejay Stya University. Further, Conference Directors for this event include Professor Vimala Veeraraghavan, Ph. D, Emeritus Professor Psychology & Education, Apeejay Stya University, and distinguished Professor (Dr.) Moinuddin. The organising committee comprises Deans and Head of Departments from various Schools of ASU.
A captivating series of discussions are planned under the sub- themes are:
1. AI and Psychology (Psychology in AI)
2. AI and Technology (Computer science, engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, etc.)
3. AI in health and mental health (Contribution from Pharma, Bio-sciences, Psychology, etc.)
4. AI in enhancing human behaviour and capabilities (Skill acquisition, Psychological factors underlying the behaviour, etc.)
5. AI and virtual reality (Contribution from AI, Psychology and behavioural sciences)
6. Technology, Human engineering and AI (Product-design, Ergonomics, Aerospace etc.)
7. Healthcare, Diagnostics processes , Technology and AI.
8. Generative AI and its impact on the daily life of human/health and well-being (Pharma, Bio,
Psychology and Engineering etc.)
9. Impact of combined effect of technology, Psychology and AI on human experience.
10. Health and Well-being in the workplace: Influence of AI and Machine learning.
11. Emotional Intelligence, Technology and AI.
12. The risks and benefits of applications of AI in work-life and its consequences.
13. Citizens’ perception of AI and its impact on human life (Technology, Psychology and Social-Science).
14. Ethical issues in application of AI in social, psychological and behavioural aspects of human life.
15. Cognitive Psychology, Addiction Treatment, Therapy and Counselling: Contribution of AI.
16. Education and AI: AI powered tools to develop and deliver educational content and training in schools and colleges.
17. Cognitive psychology and artificial intelligence and modelling cognitive processes.
18. Education, training, and management of education at primary, secondary and higher education level through AI.

Further, symposium and workshops are also planned on various interesting topics such as Human Rights in the age of Artificial Intelligence, AI and Cybersecurity, AI and Mental Health, and so on.
