From the seats of the auditorium to the interviewee chair

As I sit here to write about my journey, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and nostalgia. It seems like just yesterday I was sitting in the third row of the auditorium, with my eyes wide open and a mind ready to learn, not knowing what the future held, but what I did know was I will walk out a better student. Today, when I am ready to embark on the next chapter of my life, there are these flashbacks of incredible experiences and lessons I’ve learned beyond the classroom.

This might come across as a thank you note to many, so be it. Some things and people do require a special mention. From the security guards who greeted me with a smile every morning and asked me about my day to the helpful cleaning didi who offered me her phone when mine was discharged, she even gave me her lipstick when I couldn’t find mine. Whether it was seeking advice from faculty members, collaborating with such strong headed people in the class on group projects, or simply striking up a conversation with anyone in the cafeteria, every interaction taught me something new and helped me grow as a person. These few months helped me explore sides of me I never knew existed.

One person who had a particularly profound impact on my journey was Mudita ma’am. Her passion for the subject is contagious, and her wit unmatched. You give her a topic and she will make it your subject like it always was. From her engaging lectures to her invaluable feedback on assignments, she helped me push myself beyond my limits and most importantly, she believed in me when it was tough for me to. Dedicating this one paragraph for her might seem like nothing but this counts as something to me.

But it wasn’t just the people within the college walls that shaped my experience. It’s the institute, the opportunities it provided me with, the workshops, guest lectures and networking events. These not only expanded my knowledge of the field but also gave me valuable insights into the real-world applications of the subject.

Writing this, reflecting on my journey, I realise just how much I’ve grown and how far I’ve come since that first day in the auditorium. This institute has not just equipped me with skills and knowledge but has also instilled in me a deep appreciation for the relationships I’ve formed along the way.

This was me expressing my gratitude for the institute for providing me with the tools, support, and opportunities to chase my dreams. These days will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I will always cherish the memories and lessons I’ve gained during my time here.

To anyone who’s reading this, if you’re from the batch 2023-2024, Thank You and if it’s someone new joining in, I welcome you.
