People often believe that graduation ceremonies hold significance only for students completing high school (classes X and upwards). However, it is important to note that these events are equally important for younger children, such as those in class V as well. This is because these ceremonies mark important milestones in a student’s academic journey, signifying the culmination of one phase and the beginning of another.

For young students, these ceremonies serve as crucial stepping stones, instilling a sense of achievement and motivation as they transition to higher grades. To boost the students’ motivation and sense of achievement, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg organised a graduation ceremony for class V, under the guidance and [patronage of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Education, and Chancellor Apeejay Stya University.

The event was graced by esteemed city personalities like Dr Gauri Mahajan and Dr Ankush Mahajan, as chief guests along with the parents of the graduating students. The principal of the school, Mrs Sangeeta Nistandra extended a warm welcome to all the attendees and dignitaries. The students captivated the audience with enchanting dance performances and delivered heartfelt speeches that resonated with everyone present.

Over 30 students scoring above 95 per cent were honoured; an investiture ceremony for the Junior School Council also took place. Students — Namish Khanna and Aanya Mahajan were appointed as Junior Head Boy and Junior Head Girl, respectively. Badges were awarded to Junior Sports Captains, Activity Heads, Class Representatives, Discipline Heads, Rising Stars, and School Ambassadors.

The chief guest, Dr Mahajan, congratulated the principal and faculty for the excellent grooming of students. She also encouraged students to embrace learning from their mistakes and to nurture their inherent talents. Furthermore, she praised the Principal for implementing innovative techniques to shape the future of the next generation. Dr Ankush Mahajan advised students to adopt a steady, persistent approach like a turtle rather than rushing like a rabbit.

The ceremony concluded with the felicitation of students with certificates, marking their academic achievements. Mrs Nistandra expressed her gratitude to the dignitaries and congratulated the students on their outstanding achievements, wishing them success in their future endeavors. Overall, the event was a resounding success, and the graduation ceremony concluded smoothly.
