Young voices and gentle tributes shape Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day at Apeejay School, Tanda Road, was observed through a carefully planned programme that centred on appreciation, expression, and connection. The event, titled A Heart Full of Love, brought together students and mothers in a shared space that reflected both celebration and reflection. The focus remained on helping young children understand and express gratitude in simple, meaningful ways.

The programme featured a series of performances by students across classes. Nursery, LKG, and UKG students presented dance routines that carried a sense of innocence and warmth. Their participation set the tone for the event, showing how early expression can build emotional awareness. Students from Classes I and II followed with stage performances that reflected a deeper understanding of the role mothers play in their daily lives.

Teachers guiding the event noted that such platforms allow children to move beyond routine classroom learning. They see these moments as an opportunity for students to connect feelings with expression, which often stays with them longer than formal lessons. The inclusion of video presentations added a reflective layer, giving families a chance to revisit shared memories in a collective setting.

The programme also included interactive elements such as games and a ramp walk. These segments encouraged participation from mothers, turning the event into a shared experience rather than a one-sided presentation. The atmosphere remained warm and engaging, with each activity contributing to a sense of involvement and belonging.

What stood out through the event was its emphasis on emotional learning. Students were not only performing but also learning how to acknowledge care and support in their own way. As the programme concluded, it left behind a simple but lasting reminder. When schools create space for such expression, they quietly shape how children understand relationships beyond textbooks.
