Apeejay School, Kharghar organised a Good Touch–Bad Touch Awareness Workshop for students of Classes III–V, creating an important learning space where young learners could understand personal safety, boundaries and self-respect. The session focused on equipping children with the awareness and confidence to recognise situations that make them uncomfortable and the courage to speak up when something does not feel right.
Designed to make an important subject accessible and age-appropriate, the workshop combined visual learning, interactive conversations and engaging activities. Students were introduced to the concept of safe and unsafe situations through the insightful Komal video, which helped them understand personal boundaries and the importance of communicating their concerns.

The session also featured engaging interactions that encouraged students to participate actively and express their thoughts. A vibrant presentation further reinforced key messages around personal safety, respect and awareness. Rather than simply listening to instructions, students were encouraged to observe, think and respond, making the workshop a meaningful and participative learning experience.
An especially engaging aspect of the workshop was the use of soft-toy demonstrations, which provided students with a simple and relatable way to understand appropriate and inappropriate situations. These demonstrations helped translate an important safety message into concepts that young children could easily comprehend and remember.

The “My Safe Circle” activity added another meaningful dimension to the session. Through this activity, students identified trusted adults whom they could approach if they ever felt unsafe, uncomfortable or confused. The exercise reinforced the understanding that seeking help is a sign of strength and that children should never hesitate to share their concerns with someone they trust.
The workshop went beyond creating awareness about good touch and bad touch. It encouraged students to understand that their bodies and personal space deserve respect and that they have the right to set boundaries. It also highlighted the importance of listening to their instincts and reaching out for support whenever necessary.

The session concluded with a powerful message for every young learner: every child deserves to feel safe, respected, heard and empowered. By fostering awareness, confidence and open communication from an early age, Apeejay School, Kharghar reaffirmed its commitment to creating a supportive environment where children can learn, grow and express themselves without fear.
