A school providing holistic education is crucial, as it ensures the all-round development of students while shaping various facets of a child’s growth. These facets encompass the nurturing of social, emotional, and practical skills. Apeejay School stands out as an exceptional institution, offering a highly comprehensive approach that equips children for all aspects of life.

Meet Rohit Malhotra, the proud father of Vedant Malhotra, currently in class VIII at Apeejay School, Faridabad. Rohit, an alumnus of the same school, attests to the enduring positive learning approach at Apeejay, fostering an environment where students can truly blossom.

Excerpts from the interview:

How has been his overall experience?

His overall experience has been positive. He is thriving in school, and his academic pursuits are progressing at a great pace.

Is he involved in any extracurricular activities?

Not at present, but earlier Vedant used to take active participation in various events as well as the annual days happening at school.

Does this school offer the right set of skills to help your child grow positively?

Definitely yes. Some parents whose children are not associated with Apeejay School feel burdened unlike those who are associated with Apeejay Schools. The teachers at this school understand the importance of not overburdening students while recognising that excessive pressure can hinder their overall growth. Apeejay successfully maintains a balanced approach to education.

Are PTMs held regularly?

While some may perceive class VIII as a time for a more relaxed approach, my wife takes a proactive role in ensuring our child’s progress. My wife attends all kinds of PTMs and engages in in-depth conversations with the teachers to extract valuable feedback.

How do you promote your child’s studies at home?

He studies by himself wherein we have deliberately fostered an environment at home that prioritises independent learning. We adhere to a set of stringent rules, where the tuition culture is absent. If there are any doubts to be clarified, I often suggest my son seek help from class teachers. If I am there, I help him out.

Do you feel satisfied with your decision of choosing this school for your child?

I am more than 100 per cent satisfied with the decision to choose this school for my child. I am myself an alumnus of this branch of Apeejay. Moreover, a few of my cousins and their kids are also studying here, so it’s like our family school. Everyone knows that any kid in our family will study at Apeejay only.

How do you manage his screen time?

We as parents have implemented some stringent rules wherein we don’t want our kid’s time to be wasted much on gadgets like mobiles and laptops. For their usage of gadgets, we have fixed a particular time after their study hours.

Anything you appreciate the most about the school?

The kind of nurturing they provide is wonderful. The school follows the same positive philosophy as it used to follow during my time, which is to provide holistic education. I have learnt many things from Apeejay and I believe it delivers the same skillset to my kid as well.

How do you spend quality time with him?

Sundays are only for the family. I make a conscious effort to fully disconnect from work and give all my time to the family. Our quality time includes enjoying outings to shopping malls, visiting relatives, dining out, or watching a movie together.
