This school championed dental wellness

Experts from the Aesthetic Smile Collective inspire students and staff towards dental hygiene at a Dental Check-up camp held at Apeejay School, Rama Mandi

Maintaining good dental hygiene is crucial as it prevents oral health issues such as cavities, gum disease, and bad breath. Proper oral care also contributes to overall health by reducing the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and other systemic conditions linked to oral bacteria.

The best way to promote dental hygiene is by organising camps in schools as introducing children to essential oral hygiene practices early on, fosters lifelong habits. To inculcate similar dental habits amongst students, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar organised a dental checkup camp in association with The Aesthetic Smile Collective.

To grace the event and make a bigger impact on dental hygiene, various experts were present including Dr. Kunal Mohindru and Dr. Pranav Handa, alongside esteemed colleagues Dr. Diksha and Dr. Vandana, who emphasised the critical role of dental health for students and staff.

The session highlighted practical tips on maintaining oral hygiene and outlined essential treatments to promote dental wellness. The attendees gained insights into effective brushing and flossing techniques, as well as the significance of regular dental check-ups.

The experts stressed how good dental habits positively impact overall health and encouraged a community-wide commitment to dental cleanliness. This informative event aimed to empower attendees with actionable strategies for lifelong oral care.

Ms Aarti Shorey Bhat, the Vice-principal of the school extended sincere appreciation to the dedicated team of doctors for graciously visiting the school and imparting invaluable knowledge to both students and staff.

She also emphasised the significance of their expertise in educating the school community on essential dental care practices. Ms Bhat highlighted the impact of such initiatives in promoting overall wellness and fostering a culture of health consciousness among students.

The visit not only enriched participants with practical insights but also underscored the school’s commitment to holistic education, prioritising the well-being of every individual within the school environment.
