For countless students in India, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is more than just a test; it’s a gateway to their dreams. With its reputation as one of the toughest examinations globally, the JEE stands as a formidable challenge that can shape the trajectory of a student’s academic and professional life. These students from Apeejay School, Noida, took the first step in this arduous journey and came out as undefeated champions with their fiery perseverance.

‘Maintain a healthy lifestyle to avoid any undue breaks’

With an amazing 95.8 percentile in JEE session 2, Ishita Soni credits her achievement to her school. “I am aspiring to become a computer science engineer in future. I believe in maintaining a healthy balance between academics and my other interests.”

Ishita’s study plan pans out for long hours with short breaks in between to keep fatigue at bay and break the monotony. She follows the rule of learning from past mistakes and practicing enough number of question papers to prepare well because no hard work ever goes to waste.

“Around the time of exam whenever I felt down or low, I turned to my parents and teachers for a constant dose of motivation and encouragement. I was also taught to maintain my calm,” Ishita asserted.

‘The school helped me cope up with the syllabus well’

Samyak Sharma scored a well-deserved 97.8 percentile in JEE session 2. “My strategy involved grinding for an entire year to achieve the best results at the end,” Samyak said. Solving question papers and practicing throughout, Samyak’s future looks bright wherein he would like to pursue BTech and CSE from a reputed college.

“He advises to work hard and be consistent with studies to avoid pressure and anxiety during the last moments. These were my challenges too so I am talking out of experience,” Samyak shared.

‘The core PCM teachers were extremely supportive’

With a brilliant score of 97.9 percentile in JEE Session 2, Nakul Zutshi has his goal clear; he wants to pursue Computer Science. “I was always regular in my classes and coaching. I have a sharp inclination for math and haven’t really struggled with the subject. Though I did hit a few roadblocks in Organic Chemistry, so I gave special attention to it by revising the concepts more,” he said.

An avid footballer, Nakul juggles between studies and his interest to strike a healthy balance. As the saying goes, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. “Each teacher at my school has their own unique style of teaching which helps me to understand the subjects better. For the future aspirants, my tip will be to not stick to studies full time and pick up a hobby to keep the brain active and healthy,” Nakul shared.

‘Never give up is my mantra for life’

With an outstanding 98.7 percentile in JEE Session 2, Nabhya Parasrampuria picked up a deep interest in computers during COVID-19 period and since then there has been no looking back. He now wants to become a coder or a software developer.

“The most challenging part was the low score in session 1, it really shook me, and hence I decided to come back more strongly and decided to fare well in the second session,” he expressed.
