In school, children spend a significant portion of their time, form friendships, learn essential skills, and receive guidance and support from teachers and staff. “My son has developed social and emotional skills, explored his interests, and has discovered his strengths,” shares Sarala Shendge whose son Shaurya studies in class VIII at Apeejay School, Kharghar.
Excerpts from the interview

How has your son’s journey at school been so far?
It’s excellent so far. My son is passionate towards dance and music. He participates in several Inter-school competitions as well. Following his interests, the school has always gone an extra step for motivating my child and he is now recognised well at school as well.
How are the teachers here?
All the teachers here are exclusively pushing my child to pursue his love for harmonium. It is especially overwhelming to see the teachers helping and supporting my son extensively in all areas – be it academics and extracurricular. There has been no need for tuition for my child too since the teachers are so efficiently teaching him.
Define your parenting style.
I have kept an extremely friendly approach with him as a parent. I believe in never putting undue pressure over my child and high expectations. I always motivate my child for his fulfilling growth.

Do you agree that school is the second home for a child?
I totally agree with the statement because more than half their time goes into school. A good conducive school environment goes a long way in shaping up a child’s personality and well-being. Amongst all of this, the school really scores high in terms of infrastructure and facilities.
What does your son aspire to become in future?
Since my son loves music and dance and is at present, also learning classical music, I think he would like to pursue his career in one of these artistic fields.
Why did you select Apeejay as an admission choice for your child?
When we were looking for an apt school for my son, after thorough research we figured out that Apeejay fitted all our criteria. It has the best reputation and legacy, best scholastic curriculum and plenty of extracurricular activities opportunities. I am so far happy with this school.
