“Teachers here nurture positive relationships with each child by offering individualised attention, warmth, and affection. They take the time to get to know each child’s interests, preferences, and personality traits, and show genuine interest and care for their well-being,” shares Suman Kumari whose son, Kartik, studies in Nursery at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri.

Excerpts from the interview

Why did you select Apeejay for your child?

The first and foremost reason for choosing this school is because its curriculum is
activity based. Apeejay doesn’t believe in burdening the kids with cramming in education. My elder daughter is also studying in the same school and after observing her grow so beautifully here, I decided to put my second child in the same institute.

Has your son adjusted well at school?

He has adjusted wonderfully at the school and part credit goes to the wonderful teachers here. I see my child happily going to school because the staff here focuses on students really well. My son’s class teacher will always communicate with us by writing notes in his diary and being available over phone and WhatsApp.

What has your son learned at school?

I have observed that my son’s motor skills have developed extensively after going to school. He enjoys performing activities like connect the dots and cursive writing.

Do you have a dream for your child?

We haven’t decided anything as yet but we will always support our children in all their future plans and endeavours.

What is your parenting style?

I never believe in giving stress and pressuring the child to learn things. Every child has their own pace and I want my child to take time and learn slowly yet steadily.

Does Kartik share any stories from school?

He narrates different and interesting anecdotes from his school daily. Recently, he told me about a few informative videos that the teachers showed to the students. He picked up the skill of reading poems and drawing a caterpillar off late which is very overwhelming.
