Dealing with nursery kids requires a unique approach that combines patience, creativity, and empathy. “Teachers here establish a warm and welcoming classroom environment that feels safe and secure for young children and provide open-ended activities that allow children to express their creativity and problem-solving skills,” expresses Seema Seelwal, whose son Viraj studies in Nursery at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri.

Excerpts from the interview

Why did you select Apeejay for your child?

The main reason for selecting this school is because my elder daughter is also studying in the same school, I feel it’s always convenient to have both children in the same school. The second important factor is that Apeejay has made us feel so secure in terms of taking responsibility for academics and we as parents feel light and rest assured.

How is Viraj feeling at school?

My son has adjusted well in this school and I want to thank all the teachers here for giving so much support in this regard. Viraj is quite a naughty kid so he personally didn’t take much time to settle well at the school and has started to enjoy going to school.

What has Viraj learned at school so far?

He has learnt to identify different body parts and name colours amongst other things. He is also fond of narrating Hindi and English poems to us.

What are your dreams for your child?

Like any parent, I want my child to be successfully happy in his life. Though in particular I would like him to get into teaching or IT profession.

How did you find the infrastructure and facilities at the school?

The school has improved remarkably in terms of facilities. They have ACs in the classrooms which is really uncommon to find, and the school also has a good playground for children to run and play around.

How are the teachers here?

Teachers here have always been super-efficient and extremely supportive. They are also available over the phone whenever we need to discuss something. So far, in the case of Viraj we haven’t had any PTMs but I am looking forward to meeting them real soon.
