Pratik Chatterjee, an alumnus of Apeejay School, Nerul, leads an eventful life. Analyst at ICICI Bank, Pratik handles the work of the United Kingdom geographical zone and leads his team through many important assignments.

In a quick chat, he gives us a glimpse of what a day at the office looks like and how he found his calling while at the school. Read edited excerpts:

I work for the UK geographical zone. Hence my work timeline is suited according to their timeline. My day at the office starts in the afternoon. I prepare a to-do list to begin with, then get on a call with the team and discuss the targets of the day. Then I go through the daily work, get in touch with various stakeholders, get the relevant data, then again get on a group call where the team highlights the day’s progress and other issues. It is a very eventful day!

The school has a special place in my heart. I have so many special memories that it would be tough to highlight any one in particular. However, my favourite were the sports memories we students made during the games period, that was my favourite. Especially when we got a substitution period in the absence of a teacher, that was an additional opportunity to play games.

0They have helped me immensely in deciding my career and journey. I would like to thank Ms Ritu Kapoor ma’am the most, she has been a great mentor to me. She never pressured any student with career choices rather she always told us to listen to our heart and then make a decision.

I had a lot of inter house competitions and was an avid participant in sports. But it was in the annual days that I would really get to show my talent. You see, I was an excellent dancer and was always cultivating my love for dance in school. I worked a lot on my passion.

As Ritu ma’am had told me, don’t follow what your friends are doing. Instead listen to your heart, trust yourself, and work hard, everything will come into place. This indeed holds true!
