Rinku Agarwal enrolled her son Reyansh in class I this year at Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri. In a short span of time, the homemaker says she is already noticing a lot of improvement in her son’s overall personality. She tells us more about it in an interview.
Excerpts:
Why did you pick Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri?
After completing playschool, I wanted my son to study in a good CBSE school. Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, was on top of that list. We got in touch with many other parents who told us how the school strikes a good balance in academics and co-curricular activities, which is what we wanted for Reyansh. When we visited the school finally, we were quite impressed and decided to enroll our son.

Tell us about your first visit to the school.
We met the school principal, the class teacher, and other staff. They were all very cordial and made my child feel very comfortable. I was happy to see Reyansh interact with them. We felt confident that our son would settle in very easily.
How does the school ensure children’s safety?
From escorting the students right from the school gate to alerting parents if their child falls ill, the school takes a lot of measures. There was a time when one of our relatives went to pick up our son from school. But the staff did not allow it without our permission.
Does Reyansh participate in co-curricular activities?
Renu ma’am, Reyansh’s class teacher, encourages him to perform on stage. He recently compèred the grandparents’ day event as well as the Mother’s Day event. Similarly, he participated in various other activities, which helped him overcome stage fear. Earlier, he would hesitate to perform in public, but it was his teachers who recognised his talent and motivated him. Now, he voluntarily participates in all activities.
What about academics?
Teachers at Apeejay make learning fun for children. Without pressuring them in any way, the teachers explain topics through activities that work best in developing children’s interest in studies. It also helps them retain all that they study. Reyansh has been showing a lot of improvement. He is enjoying the process of learning.
Does his class teacher keep you updated about his progress?
I usually speak to her every two weeks to know about Reyansh’s progress. And she explains everything patiently and guides me. She is very supportive.
