This parent chose Apeejay School, Greater Noida, because of its supportive teachers. What has stood out for the parent is how well the teachers understand each child. “At times, I feel my son’s class teacher notices things about my son that even I may miss as a parent, and that is very reassuring. We also appreciate that the school is flexible and practical rather than being unnecessarily rigid about rules. The staff is approachable and always willing to help, which makes school life much easier for both children and parents,” shares Shalini Chouhan, whose son, Shreeyan Chouhan (Class II), is studying here, in a candid interview.
What surprised you about your child this year?
I have been pleasantly surprised to see him becoming more talkative and confident. He is expressing himself much more freely now.
What does your child love talking about after school?
He loves talking about his class teacher. It is often, “Ma’am helped me do this,” or “Ma’am taught me that.” And, of course, he keeps telling us that she is the best ma’am!
What has your child taught you lately?
He recently taught me how to tell the time by looking at the hands of a clock. It was a lovely moment to have him explain something to me. As for handling setbacks, he is still learning how to handle them. He can sometimes find them difficult, but we are helping him understand that things do not always go as planned and that it is okay to try again.
Which new friendship matters most to them?
His friendships seem to mean a lot to him. He often talks about his friends Nikshit, Vihaan, Bavishya, and Aadhya, and enjoys sharing stories about them with us.
What is your child curious about right now?
He is very curious about reading new books from the library. He gets particularly excited because his class teacher asks him about the stories afterwards, which encourages him to read and understand them carefully.
Which small moment made you proud?
Seeing him gradually become more confident has made me very proud. It may seem like a small change, but as a parent, it is wonderful to see him becoming more comfortable expressing himself.
