Sattvik and Yashwardhan are enjoying their time at Apeejay School, Faridabad, Sector 15. They have fallen in love with the co-curricular activities and take part in maximum events possible to develop their social skills.
Speaking with their mother, Mrs Anjali Pundir, in a quick interview, we learn what makes the school a safe haven for the growth of the children. Read edited excerpts:
How are your kids performing at the school?
Well, both my kids have their own strengths and weaknesses. My elder son Sattvik is studying in class 3 and he is an all rounder. The school conducts one or the other activities every single week and Sattvik is so used to being on the stage that all his teachers are so fond of him . The teachers make sure that besides the co-curricular activities, the students also focus on studies.
My younger one Yashwardhan has just joined school last year and is presently in KG. He has made new friends and is more than willing to go to the school even on Sundays . He is also eventually learning to be on stage and tries to mimic speaking on the mic even when at home.
What are their favourite subjects?
Sattvik loves Maths and has scored full marks in all the recent assessments. He feels competitive and asks us to throw Maths calculations at him all the time . He also loves Environmental Science as he wants to be a scientist and is always curious to know about the solar system , animal world and chemical experiments.
Yashwardhan, on the other hand, loves Hindi and English as he is learning to read small sentences in both the languages and feels proud even after reading a little sentence correctly.
Do they have an interest in sports?
I think there is no way that any school can beat Apeejay School, Faridabad in terms of striking a balance between academic and co-curricular activities. Here every child gets a chance to speak and present themselves on stage that further brings a boost of confidence in them.
Are teachers engaging well with students?
Oh yes! 100% efforts are made by the teachers. During the pandemic, when we sat with our kids during the online classes, we were first-hand witnesses to the hard work of the teachers. The way they teach is so different. They made the whole class environment so lively. I have also observed that the teachers give a chance to every student to maintain their interest.
Are you satisfied with the school environment?
Yes. The school provides a great environment to the kids . There is a bullet proof environment against any misdemeanour and there is strict action against any misbehaviour.
