An industrial visit helps students to combine their theoretical knowledge of say a new-age technology with the practical application of its actual functioning. Students when visiting an organisation get an opportunity to experience the technology in real-time and that provides an in-depth understanding of the same. The idea is to prepare these students to become future-ready professionals.

With this perspective and intention, School of Engineering and Technology, Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram organised an industrial visit for the students to Network Bulls, a market leader in Cisco Training Industry in India with Asia’s Biggest Cisco Training Labs.

The key objective of this trip was to make students aware about the job opportunities in the field of secure networking and gaining experience about how industries work. Further, students learned about the importance of networking and its security in this emerging technology era.

Sharing his experience, Hariom Dagar, a 2nd-year B.Tech CSE student said, “It was important in the wake of recent incidents of hacking of reputed organisation servers that students learn and are equipped with the latest technologies. Using these, the budding tech professionals can identify the loopholes and plug them to ward off such incidents in the future.”

Another student from B.Tech CSE 3rd-year Abhishek Patel said, “We all are using all the modern technologies. We are also familiar with the internet and other IoT devices. In fact, all the technologies we are using today use a network and don’t operate on a single device. Here is where Network Bulls come into play. As  a career forming organisation, it provides the CCNA, CCIE and other networking certification training, which builds the future of aspiring students in this field. We learnt about several networking technologies.”
