‘My child’s teachers truly helped him blossom’

At Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, many families find their way to the school through the trust and experience of those who came before them. In conversation with Renu Kuer, mother of Advaita, a student of Class 5 at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, she shares why she chose the school. She further explains what stood out to her along the way, and how her son has flourished under the guidance of her teachers.

What made you decide on Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park?

All his cousins study in Apeejay, but in different branches. Before his admission, I saw his cousin’s book and progress and that’s when I had decided Apeejay to be the right school for his education. So I did, and we got him admitted to it.

How was the admission process for you?

The teachers in the school really help us a lot during the admission process. From letting us know the entire process to fees and everything. It all went smoothly and was organised. 

Do you feel there is enough one-on-one attention given to students?

Yes, definitely. The teacher student ratio is maintained in the classroom. Because of that, my child is receiving attention from teachers. I have seen improvement in my son since the time he has joined Apeejay. I am happy with his progress and credit Apeejay School Panchsheel Park and teachers for the same. 

When it comes to safety and security, do you feel comfortable that it’s being well maintained?

I feel it is. I’ve always felt good about it. I have never heard any complaints from his side even if we ask. 

What about the infrastructure — computer labs, libraries, sports facilities, washrooms? Do you find them well-maintained and safe?

Yes, absolutely. Though, we just get to see the infrastructure only on PTMs, but as far as my son’s experience is concerned, he is fine with it and has never complained about anything like that. 

The school focuses on holistic education — a balance between academics and extracurricular activities. Do you feel that balance is really there?

Yes, there is a good balance. Earlier, there was a time when for parents academics mattered a lot but with changing time, we are also reluctant to send our child to extra-curricular activities and build himself up with sportsmanship qualities. The school is blending academics and extracurricular activities which is so great. In a fun and engaging manner, Advaita is learning facts and memorising them also. 

Have you faced any issues with communication gaps from the School?

No, not at all. Till now, there hasn’t been any problem on that front. We get messages, hard copy and then there is a parents application, daily updates are there. 

Is there anything specific that stands out to you about how the school has shaped Advaita?

When he was just 4 years old, he recited the entire Gita Rahasya from memory. I really think that shows how much attention the teachers pay to each child. And overall, he’s doing well across the board — in academics, in swimming, in sports, in everything. Children spend a good part of their growing years in school, and I think that really shapes them, alongside how they’re raised at home.
