Recently, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, Jalandhar, celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm and warmth, honouring the unconditional love, wisdom and invaluable contribution of grandparents in the lives of their grandchildren. The celebration brought together students, grandparents and teachers for a memorable day filled with music, dance, laughter and togetherness.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, marking an auspicious beginning to the celebrations. The school Principal Mr AK Sharma extended a warm welcome to the grandparents and expressed his gratitude for their gracious presence. In his address, he highlighted the unique bond shared between grandparents and grandchildren and appreciated the significant role grandparents play in nurturing children with love, values, guidance and wisdom.

The celebrations continued with a series of engaging performances by the young students. A special song dedicated to grandparents was followed by vibrant dance performances. A heartfelt dance presentation by the children beautifully expressed their love and affection for their grandparents and received warm appreciation from the audience.
Adding an emotional touch to the occasion, a PowerPoint presentation featuring photographs of students with their grandparents was showcased. The presentation brought smiles to the faces of the grandparents as they revisited cherished moments spent with their grandchildren.
The highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of grandparents in a range of competitions, including Dance, Singing, Poetry Recitation and Ramp Walk. Several fun-filled games were also organised exclusively for them. The grandparents participated with remarkable energy, confidence and sporting spirit, making the celebration lively and entertaining.










The winners were felicitated for their outstanding performances. In Poetry Recitation, Amit secured the first position, followed by Jasmehar and Mahir in second and third positions, respectively. In Singing, Navtej won the first position, while Gurdit secured the second. Amit emerged as the winner of the Dance Competition. In the Ramp Walk, Ditti secured the first position, Nirvaan stood second, while Parmeet, Namish and Nandita jointly secured the third position.
The occasion served as a heartwarming tribute to the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren, leaving everyone with cherished memories of love, laughter and togetherness.
The celebration concluded with a ‘vote of thanks’ by Vice-principal Ms Loveleen Bagga, who expressed sincere gratitude to the grandparents, students and staff for their enthusiastic participation and dedicated efforts.
