Apeejay’s School of Engineering and Technology hosts research webinar on “Recent Trends and Technologies in Computer Science” 

At the webinar, Mr. Anitya Kumar Gupta, alumni of Apeejay Stya University, emphasised on the importance of research in the development of innovations and new technology



It is true that technology is influencing the various sectors of the global economy. In fact, ever since the advent of digitalisation, the fundamentals of industries began to transform for the better. Moreover, in a recent survey, McKinsey stated that AI adoption could increase the global GDP by as much as $13 trillion by 2030. Therefore to sustain in today’s competitive marketplace, it has become quintessential for tech professionals as well as every industry to utilise innovative technologies that make their solution more powerful. 

Along these lines, School of Engineering and Technology (SoET), Apeejay Stya University recently organised a webinar on ‘Recent Trends and Technologies in Computer Science. The event was coordinated and hosted by Dr. Deepti Thakral, Assistant Professor, SoET, and the session was conducted by Mr. Anitya Kumar Gupta, TSR – Cybersecurity CodePath, USA, who is a proud alumni of Apeejay Stya University.

During the webinar, Anitya explained about the key areas that students need to excel in if they want to pursue their career in blooming technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, and others. He further gave an insight into the research work that he is pursuing in the field of Deep Learning. 

He adds, “ASU is highly focused on research activities from the undergraduate level and this session will further let students understand the importance of educational research. The idea is to motivate them to indulge in more and more research work as it helps in generating new knowledge and making new discoveries and innovations.”

The interactive session was attended by all the faculty members and students of SoET. The event ended with a vote of thanks from Dr. Deepti Thakral. “Being a part of India’s first liberal arts university focused on research and innovation, I feel so proud that our students are following the legacy of ASU not only in India but internationally as well. I am very happy to see the achievements of our alumnus, Anitya Gupta, who is doing so well in his career alongside the research on the latest technologies. He delivered a very insightful session on the recent trends and technologies of the IT industry. The motivational session by him will surely encourage many of our current students to dream big and achieve success in their careers,” she added.
