All about tech: Apeejay Stya University hosts career counselling session for engineering students

The guest speaker of the event was Mr. Ashish Bansal, software engineer at Nykaa and co-founder, Fellafeed

Apeejay Stya University (ASU) alumnus Ashish Bansal recently delivered an engaging session for students of engineering at the college. A software engineer at NYKAA, Bansal is also the co-founder at Fellafeeds, an app built to empower offline stores with digital feedback from customers.

At Apeejay, his session with the students was themed Latest Technologies where he shared anecdotes from his career journey and professional experiences. Students were informed about Android programming and app development, a field that has taken the world by storm, especially since Covid-19.

Adnan Farooqui, a student of Computer Science at ASU, says, “The session was very insightful. I found it helpful for my professional development. I want to work as an android developer in the near future. During the session, I got to know about popular languages in the software industry. At present, almost all companies are boosting their digital presence and that is why there is a massive boom in the field of android and artificial intelligence. There are many lucrative opportunities right now. I am trying new skills to become a developer and attempting to connect the field of computer science with automobiles.”

The session was open to a question-answer round by students with Bansal. Several students cleared their doubts regarding industry preparedness and internships. The event was coordinated by Ms. Ishita, B.Tech (CSE) student under the guidance of Dr. Sudhakar Ranjan.
