Apeejay School, Saket solemnly observed the 15th Punyatithi of Late Dr Stya Paul, Founder Chairman, Apeejay Stya Group & Apeejay Education. The entire school community – including students, teachers, administrative staff, and support teams – came together in unity and devotion to honour the life and vision of a man who laid the foundation of the Apeejay Stya legacy.

Honouring a life of vision and values

The atmosphere at the school was marked with quiet reflection and heartfelt gratitude. The event was not just a tribute to a leader, but a reaffirmation of the values he held dear – resilience, excellence, knowledge, and service to the nation.

Dr Stya Paul Ji, a freedom fighter who actively participated in the Quit India Movement and was imprisoned for his beliefs, went on to become one of India’s leading industrialists, philanthropists, and educationists. Despite being physically challenged since childhood, he demonstrated immense determination and optimism. His life is a testimony to the fact that no obstacle is insurmountable when guided by willpower and purpose.

He was not only a professional mentor but also a paternal figure to many. His personal concern for every member of the Apeejay Stya family continues to be deeply cherished. Until his passing in 2010 at the age of 90, he remained intellectually active, curious, and eager to learn – qualities that defined his incredible journey.

Carrying forward the legacy

The school community collectively pledged to keep his legacy alive by working diligently to take the institutions he built to greater heights. As a true Karmayogi, Dr Stya Paul Ji’s philosophy blended devotion (bhakti), action (karma), and knowledge (gyan) – a triad that continues to inspire generations.

The Punyatithi served as a moment of remembrance and rededication – reminding all present that while Dr Stya Paul Ji may not be physically among us, his ideals live on through every effort made in pursuit of excellence and nation-building.
