How do I handle stress?

Stress is a natural human response that affects everyone. We are all designed by god to experience stress and react to it. In simple words, stress for me is a feeling of anxiety and a pressure to go to the washroom again and again.
Everyone experiences stress at some point. You can’t avoid it. But managing stress can help you deal with it. Stress can be positive or negative. You might be wondering how stress can be positive.

Well, stress can be positive in a way that keeps you alert and ready to avoid danger. For example, if you have an important test coming up, stress might help your body work harder and stay awake longer. But it becomes a problem when it is taken for a long period of time without relaxation. I too get stressed up not only during my final exams but in a lot of other situations.
Recently, I was stressed due to a lot of aggression that I saw among my classmates. I was worried whether I would be affected too. What if someone behaves aggressively toward me? So I thought to talk the stress out with my mother.
She guided me to stay away from stressful situations and helped me deal with them. She woke me up at 5 am and asked me to get ready for a run. I didn’t understand as I had school that day.
We both went to a park nearby, and I ran in the fresh air with people all around me doing yoga. It actually made me feel good and stress-free. Going for any physical activity helps to manage stress. I believe doing some deep breathing exercises also relaxes your mind.
It’s always better not to overthink, which I have been doing a lot, but to believe that the next day is going to be better than today. When I am stressed, my mother tells me to take a long nap. Having a good sleep relaxes your mind. Playing with my younger sister or reading a good book relaxes me a lot. What I have learnt from my experiences is that stress can be managed by getting a good amount of sleep.
Engaging in any physical activity or yoga. Doing things that make you feel happy, like dancing, painting, etc. Talking about your stress with a close friend, teacher, or parents, whoever you are comfortable with. I practice all of these to relieve my stress. You can pick your stress management technique out of the above if you like one. To all the lovely people, this article I can only say” stress is the trash of modern life. We all generate it, but we all need to dispose of it properly “.So take a deep breath and RELAX!
