Students of the Interact Club visit the old age home under the project Blessings
Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, spread joy and companionship at Mann Ka Tilak through heartfelt interactions, creative activities, and thoughtful gestures of care
The members of the Interact Club of Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, visited Mann Ka Tilak, an old-age home, as part of Project Blessings: an initiative aimed at spreading joy, compassion, and companionship among elderly residents. The visit served as a heartwarming reminder of the importance of empathy and human connection, especially across generations.
The initiative was made even more meaningful through the generous contribution of the school’s Commerce Department, which donated the revenue collected during Commerce Week to support the cause. This thoughtful gesture reflected the spirit of unity, social awareness, and collective responsibility nurtured within the school community.
During the visit, the students spent quality time interacting with the residents through a variety of engaging and enjoyable activities. The atmosphere soon came alive with laughter and warmth as the students participated in drawing sessions, shared stories, and sang melodious songs with the residents. These moments of togetherness created an environment filled with happiness and emotional bonding, allowing both the students and the elderly residents to connect deeply with one another.
To make the occasion even more special, the club members presented the residents with handmade cards and fresh fruits as tokens of love, care, and respect. The handmade cards, thoughtfully crafted by the students, carried heartfelt messages that brought smiles to many faces. The residents were deeply moved by these affectionate gestures and expressed sincere gratitude for the time and attention they received.
The visit left a lasting impact on everyone involved. For the students, it was a valuable experience that reinforced the importance of kindness, compassion, and community service. For the elderly residents, the interaction brought moments of joy, comfort, and emotional support.
The successful conduct of Project Blessings beautifully reflected the core values upheld by the school: empathy, social responsibility, and service towards society. The day concluded with countless smiles, cherished memories, and a renewed commitment among the students to continue spreading positivity and care wherever needed.
