Apeejay Institute of Design (AID), New Delhi, emphasises practical, industry-relevant education in fashion, interior, and graphic design. By conducting ongoing market research, AID keeps its students abreast of emerging trends, tools, and consumer preferences. This approach ensures a curriculum that aligns with the dynamic design landscape, enabling students to think ahead, adapt, and innovate. Graduates from AID are not only skilled in design but also equipped to anticipate changes, fostering resilience and creative problem-solving in their careers.

Thus, the Institute recently organised a market survey activity for the Graphic Design students. Students from GDP 3rd sem and PGDP Ist sem, along with their faculty, visited Sita Ram Stationery in Lajpat Nagar to explore the variety of papers available in the market.

The goal of the visit was to give students practical exposure, in line with the Institute’s commitment to hands-on learning beyond the classroom environment. During the visit, students discovered different types of papers, learning about their characteristics, uses, and relevance in the design world. This experience allowed them to see how various materials can enhance design projects and gave them the confidence to navigate market trends independently.

Sharing her views, Ms. Divya Virmani, Assistant Professor at AID, expressed, “The institute organised this visit to bridge the gap between theory and practice, helping students connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications. By interacting directly with the market, students were able to gather insights that will support them in making thoughtful design decisions in their future work.”
