This class VI student from Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg once read an idiom in one of the books – early bird catches the worm and since then this thought has lingered onto his conscious state. Until one day Tejesh Pratap Singh decided to practically apply the idiom in his academics.

“I firmly believe that a person who arrives first at a certain place will most likely get what he/she wants. Similarly for my studies, I made sure to stay ahead of everyone else by putting in extra hard work, dedication, sincerity and perseverance,” expressed the prodigy.

“I was well prepared before the exams and I never had to rush into anything in the last hours. I was in fact confident of scoring well too,” he added.

Tejesh expresses his immense gratitude to all the teachers at his school, “I can never thank them enough. Each one of them has helped me learn and understand every concept with better clarity.”

The 11-year-old also said that his favourite movie is the Harry Potter franchise. “The entire series just transfixes you into an enchanting revelry filled with magic and wizards and whenever I am immersed into them I don’t feel like having a reality check again,” Tejesh shared laughingly. “I also enjoy reading and my most favourite author is David Walliams. The titles Gangsta Granny Part 1 and Part 2 have found a special entry into my own personalised library,” added the class VI student, who has read over 100 books this far.

An avid footballer, Tejesh is learning this game dedicatedly at the school. “I play both center and right winger during the matches. I am learning from the academy located at my school – Fourteen Skill Football Academy,” shared the Al Nassr FC fan.

On a concluding note, Tejesh mentions that his favourite food is pizza. “My mother teaches me at home and my favourite subject is Math. Furthermore, I aspire to become an IPS officer and will continue to savour my favourite dish till then.”
