The registration process for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2027 will begin on July 15, 2026, according to an announcement by XLRI Jamshedpur. Conducted on behalf of the Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI), XAT is one of India’s leading management entrance examinations and serves as a gateway to MBA and PGDM programmes offered by more than 250 business schools across the country.

Recognised for its credibility and transparent examination process, XAT has remained a preferred choice for management aspirants for over 75 years. The examination is conducted annually in a single session across more than 100 cities in India, enabling candidates from diverse regions to participate in the admission process.

For the 2027 edition, XLRI has introduced a special benefit for candidates who complete their registration on the opening day. Applicants registering on July 15 will receive a guaranteed allotment of their first-choice test city, offering greater convenience while planning their examination schedule.

Announcing the registration timeline, Dr. Rahul Shukla, Convenor of XAT 2027, described the examination as a trusted pathway to quality management education. He highlighted that XAT continues to maintain high standards of fairness and transparency, making it one of the most respected entrance examinations for aspiring management professionals.

To help candidates prepare effectively, the organisers will also provide a range of support initiatives, including mock tests and interactive sessions designed to familiarise applicants with the examination pattern and preparation strategies. These resources aim to help students build confidence and improve their performance before the examination.

Dr. Shukla encouraged aspiring candidates to complete their registrations at the earliest, not only to secure their preferred examination city but also to begin their preparation well in advance. Early registration, he noted, allows candidates to make the best use of the available preparatory resources and plan their studies systematically.

Every year, thousands of students appear for XAT to seek admission to some of India’s leading management institutes. With its extensive network of participating institutions and strong reputation for academic integrity, the examination continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the careers of future business leaders.

Candidates interested in appearing for XAT 2027 are advised to keep the necessary documents ready and complete the registration process promptly once the application window opens on July 15, 2026.
