The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer key for the UGC NET June 2026 examination shortly on its official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Candidates who appeared for the examination will be able to access the answer key, along with their response sheets and question papers, once the documents are made available online.

The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode on June 22, 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, and July 5, 2026, at examination centres across the country. The test was held for 85 subjects and serves as a qualifying examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for the post of Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes in universities and colleges across India.

After the provisional answer key is published, candidates will be able to download the PDF from the official portal. In addition to the answer key, the NTA will also provide candidates with access to their recorded responses and the question paper they attempted during the examination. Aspirants are advised to download and save these documents for future reference, as they may prove useful during the evaluation process.

The agency will also open an objection window, allowing candidates to challenge any answer they believe to be incorrect. To submit an objection, candidates must provide supporting evidence or a valid justification for each challenged question.

non-refundable processing fee of ₹200 per question will be charged for every challenge submitted. Only objections supported by appropriate documentation and submitted within the specified deadline will be considered for review by subject experts.

According to the examination guidelines, the provisional answer key is generally available for two to three days, during which candidates can review the responses and raise objections if necessary. After examining all the challenges, the NTA will prepare the final answer key, which will form the basis for the declaration of the UGC NET June 2026 results.

Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the official UGC NET website for updates regarding the release of the answer key, objection schedule, and subsequent result announcements. Keeping login credentials ready in advance will help ensure a smooth and hassle-free process once the answer key is published.
