Daksh Agarwal, a PGDM student at Apeejay School of Management, has made the most of his management journey by balancing academics with valuable industry exposure through internships at Chrome DM, Global Engineering Private Limited, and Bharat Electronics Limited. From overcoming stage fear by winning the coveted Mr. Synergy title to developing professional skills under the guidance of supportive faculty, Daksh’s journey reflects growth, confidence, and continuous learning. In this interview, he shares why he chose ASM and the experiences that shaped him personally and professionally. Read edited excerpts:

Why did you choose ASM for education

The major reason for my selection was PGDM, when a regular MBA was offering single specialization, PGDM offered dual specialization that really boosted my choice of selection for PGDM itself, and apeejay was selected because my immediate senior was a relative that guided me here.

Your favourite memory from college ?

My favourite memory from college was the day when I won Mr. Synergy. That was the best experience of mine from the institute as it allowed me to unlock my potential and eliminate fears of stage and performance.

How did working on different projects and assignments help you build skills ?

Allowing multi-tasking really helped me as each day we were given assignments and tasks that we needed to complete before the next day. This allowed me to sharpen my skills at basic tools and techniques and other than that it also gave me confidence regarding completion of hectic tasks within the timeline.

How did ASM and teachers help you grow personally and professionally?

If I were to describe the faculty of ASM, I would simply say EXCELLENT. They are the ones that really hold up the institution with their expertise and specialised knowledge of the domain, communication and understanding each student with their strengths and weaknesses. The teachers really helped me develop personally by helping me cope up with my fears and problems that diverted my mind from my objective. They also focus on your professional development, whether that be sharpening your strengths, eliminating your weakness, identifying and guiding for opportunities and highlighting the importance of knowledge and education at each step.
