Young stars shine bright at ‘Best Dramabaaj’ competition

Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, celebrates creativity and confidence as students deliver power-packed performances on stage

Acting is not about being someone different; it’s about finding the truth within yourself. This spirit came alive as Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, hosted the Best Dramabaaj Competition on October 14, 2025. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to express their creativity, confidence, and passion for theatre.

Divided into three categories, Junior, Middle, and Senior, the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from budding actors across all grades. The stage came alive with a spectrum of emotions, from humour and drama to social messages and heartfelt monologues. Each performance reflected the students’ flair for dialogue delivery, voice modulation, and expressive body language.

In the Senior Category (Class IX)Hiral Godara clinched the first position for her natural and compelling act, followed by Sunidhi and Harshita in second and third positions, respectively. The Middle Category saw Bhavika (Class VII) earn top honours for her emotive portrayal, while Priyanshi (Class VI)and Drishti (Class VI) secured the second and third positions. Among the Junior Category performers, Aadvika (Class II) charmed the audience to win first prize, with Himakshi (Class IV) and Vivaan (Class V)taking the next two spots for their delightful performances.

Judges Ms Ritu Sachdeva and Mr Sandeep Kumar lauded the participants for their originality and stage presence, offering valuable feedback to enhance their theatrical skills. The school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, commended the young dramatists for their enthusiastic participation and emphasised the significance of performing arts in shaping confident, expressive individuals.

The Best Dramabaaj competition truly celebrated the power of expression and imagination, reinforcing Apeejay School’s commitment to fostering holistic growth through the performing arts.

“It gives me immense pleasure to see our students showcasing such creativity and confidence on stage. The competition truly brought out the hidden talents among our learners. I congratulate all the participants and winners for their outstanding performances and commend the teachers for guiding them so well. Such events help our students grow into expressive, confident, and empathetic individuals,” Dr Vasishtha shared.
