Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, nurtures critical thinking and eloquence as young debaters showcase their persuasive speaking skills in Hindi.

To encourage confidence, critical thinking, and effective communication, Apeejay School, Charkhi Dadri, organised the Inter-house Junior Hindi Debate Competition. The event brought together enthusiastic students from Classes IV and V, providing them with an engaging platform to express their ideas with clarity, confidence, and conviction while strengthening their command of the Hindi language.

The competition witnessed spirited participation as young speakers presented well-researched arguments with remarkable poise and stage presence. Demonstrating impressive analytical skills, the participants articulated their viewpoints with confidence, persuasive reasoning, and effective language, captivating both the judges and the audience. Their expressive delivery, voice modulation, and logical presentation reflected the school’s continued emphasis on developing strong communication and public speaking skills among its students.

After a closely contested competition, Pratyush of Class V from Vivekananda House secured the first position with an outstanding performance marked by confidence, clarity of thought, and eloquent expression.

The second position was jointly awarded to Mauryaditya and Lavya, both from Class V and Nanak House, for their well-structured arguments and fluent presentation. The third position was shared by Hetanshi of Class IV and Mayra of Class V, both representing Vivekananda House, whose confident delivery and thoughtful perspectives earned them appreciation. Chakshu of Class V from Vivekananda House received the Consolation Prize for a commendable performance.

The judges praised the participants for their thoughtful content, accurate pronunciation, confident stage presence, and persuasive speaking abilities. They encouraged students to continue participating in literary and co-curricular activities that enhance communication skills, broaden perspectives, and build self-confidence.

Congratulating the winners and participants, the school Principal, Dr Vineet Vasishtha, commended the students for their sincere efforts and impressive performances. He emphasised that debate competitions play a vital role in nurturing analytical thinking, strengthening language proficiency, and helping students become informed, responsible, and articulate citizens. He also encouraged students to cultivate the habit of reading widely, staying informed about current issues, and expressing their opinions with confidence and respect.

“The competition reflected the confidence, intellect, and eloquence of our young learners. Such activities inspire students to think critically, communicate effectively, and express their ideas with conviction while strengthening their command of the Hindi language. I congratulate all the winners and participants for their commendable efforts and appreciate the teachers for their dedicated guidance. At Apeejay School, we remain committed to nurturing articulate, confident, and socially responsible future leaders,” Dr Vasishtha said.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the dedicated efforts of the organisers, teachers, judges, and participants. The competition once again reflected the school’s commitment to fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and effective communication through meaningful co-curricular experiences.
