Encouraging students to blend creativity with strategic thinking, Algorythm – The Business Analytics Club of Apeejay School of Management (ASM) successfully organised ‘Logo Quest’, an engaging logo design competition that challenged participants to create a distinctive visual identity for the club. The event provided students with an exciting platform to showcase their design sensibilities while demonstrating their understanding of branding, innovation, and effective communication.
Designed to promote creative problem-solving alongside analytical thinking, the competition encouraged participants to think beyond aesthetics and develop logos that reflected the vision, values, and identity of the Business Analytics Club. Through this unique initiative, students explored how compelling visual branding plays a crucial role in building a strong organisational identity.
The competition welcomed entries from individual participants as well as teams of two. Contestants were given 25 minutes to conceptualise and design an original logo using software such as Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Paint, Microsoft PowerPoint, or other similar digital tools. To ensure originality and encourage authentic creativity, the use of AI-generated designs was strictly prohibited.
Following the design phase, each participant or team was allotted two minutes to present their logo and explain the concept, inspiration, symbolism, and design rationale behind their creation. The presentation round added an extra dimension to the competition by allowing students to articulate their ideas confidently and demonstrate the strategic thinking behind their visual concepts.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the PGDM programme. Participants displayed remarkable originality through a wide range of logo concepts that creatively represented themes such as innovation, data-driven decision-making, business analytics, growth, and collaboration. The diversity of ideas reflected students’ ability to combine creativity with logical thinking while understanding the importance of visual communication in today’s business environment.

Entries were evaluated on multiple parameters, including originality, creativity, relevance to the club’s identity, visual appeal, simplicity, and the effectiveness of the presentation. The judging panel also assessed how successfully each logo captured the mission and values of the Business Analytics Club while maintaining a memorable and professional design.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Faculty Mentors Dr. Shalini Duggal and Assistant Professor Saumya Satija, whose encouragement motivated students to approach the competition with enthusiasm and professionalism. The seamless execution of the event was ensured by the dedicated efforts of the student coordinators—Pradeep (President), Niharika Shukla (Vice President), and Lekh Aggarwal (General Secretary)—who efficiently managed every aspect of the competition.
‘Logo Quest’ proved to be much more than a design competition. It became a celebration of creativity, innovation, and strategic brand thinking, demonstrating how business analytics and design can complement each other in solving real-world challenges. By providing students with opportunities to think creatively, communicate confidently, and develop practical branding skills, Apeejay School of Management continues to foster holistic learning experiences that prepare future management professionals for the evolving corporate landscape.
