Apeejay School, Faridabad, hosted a two-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on Science (Secondary). The event reaffirms the institution’s commitment to fostering excellence in education through continuous professional development for teachers.
The workshop witnessed the enthusiastic participation of educators from various schools, who came together for a series of collaborative discussions, hands-on activities, and reflective learning sessions. The event was designed to strengthen teaching practices around competency-based pedagogy, experiential learning, effective assessment strategies, and scientific inquiry. The aim of the programme remained to ensure that classroom practices remain closely aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The sessions were conducted by two eminent CBSE Resource Persons, Mr. Deepak Kumar and Mr. Manish Rao, whose expertise and guidance added significant depth and value to the two-day programme. Through their engaging deliberations and interactive activities, participating teachers were introduced to contemporary pedagogical approaches aimed at enhancing scientific understanding and nurturing critical thinking skills among students.

Over the course of the workshop, teachers explored practical strategies to make science teaching more experiential and inquiry-driven. Another aim of the event was to move beyond rote learning toward methods that encourage curiosity, observation, and analytical reasoning in the classroom. The sessions also delved into effective assessment techniques designed to more accurately gauge student understanding and competency, in keeping with the evolving expectations of the CBSE curriculum framework.
