Students of Class 4 at Apeejay School, Pitampura, conducted a special assembly on e-waste management to highlight the growing problem of electronic waste and encourage responsible disposal practices. Through a series of presentations, the students drew attention to the harmful effects of discarded electronic gadgets and the importance of adopting environmentally conscious habits.

The assembly opened with an informative news section, introducing the theme and helping students understand why e-waste management deserves attention. This was followed by poems that conveyed messages about keeping the surroundings clean, protecting the environment and safeguarding Mother Earth.

A key segment of the assembly was an interactive talk on e-waste, in which students explained its harmful effects and discussed practical ways to manage it responsibly. They highlighted the importance of the principles of reduce, reuse and recycle. It also emphasizes the need for proper disposal of electronic waste rather than allowing discarded gadgets to accumulate or end up in inappropriate places.

The students also presented a short skit that brought the issue to life. Through their performance, they demonstrated the consequences of careless disposal of electronic devices and encouraged the adoption of eco-friendly practices. The presentation helped communicate that responsible waste management is not limited to large-scale initiatives but also begins with everyday choices made by individuals and households.

The assembly concluded with a song reinforcing the message of environmental protection and sustainability. The different segments combined information with creative expression, allowing students to communicate an important environmental concern in an engaging manner.

The initiative aimed to help young learners understand their role in reducing e-waste and contributing to a cleaner environment. By addressing the issue through news, poetry, discussion, theatre and music, the students explored both the consequences of irresponsible disposal and the practical steps that can make a difference.

Their enthusiastic participation and confident performances made the assembly an opportunity for peer learning and environmental awareness. The programme also reinforced the idea that developing responsible habits at an early age can encourage children to become more conscious citizens.
