Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus (AIMETC), Jalandhar, celebrated the birthday of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education , with a meaningful campus observance centred on positivity, purpose and human values. The occasion brought the Apeejay fraternity together to honour her leadership and reaffirm its commitment to the institution’s philosophy of value-based education.
The celebration highlighted the importance of nurturing not only academically accomplished professionals but also individuals guided by integrity, compassion, empathy and social responsibility. A collective pledge formed the core of the observance, encouraging students to uphold truth, respect, excellence and service in their everyday lives and future endeavours.

The programme commenced with an inspiring address by Dr. Rajesh Bagga, Director, AIMETC, who introduced students to the spirit and significance of the occasion. Emphasising the role of human values in shaping individuals, he underscored that education must extend beyond academic achievements to develop strong character, empathy and a sense of responsibility towards society.
Dr. Bagga also read out the message of Mrs. Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education. In her message, she reminded students that the same spark of the Divine resides within everyone and that each individual possesses the potential to rise to greater heights. Encouraging students to recognise their inherent strengths and possibilities, she urged them to become the grandest version of themselves.
Her words resonated with the central theme of the celebration, inspiring students to pursue excellence while remaining grounded in ethical principles and compassion. The message also reinforced the importance of self-belief, personal growth and the responsible use of one’s abilities to make a positive difference in the world.

The celebration continued with a Pledge Ceremony, during which students collectively reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a positive outlook, practising human values and contributing meaningfully to society. The pledge served as a reminder that positivity is more than an attitude; it is reflected in everyday choices, respectful interactions and actions that demonstrate integrity and consideration for others.
The ceremony also offered an opportunity for the Apeejay fraternity to reflect on the broader purpose of education: to prepare young people for professional success while equipping them with the moral foundation to become responsible and compassionate citizens. By placing human values at the centre of the celebration, the campus reaffirmed its commitment to an educational approach that balances knowledge, character and social consciousness.
The occasion concluded with the distribution of chocolates, adding a cheerful touch to the observance. The celebration was not merely a tribute to a distinguished leader but also an opportunity for students and the wider Apeejay community to reconnect with the ideals that guide the institution.
Through this pledge of positivity and purpose, AIMETC reaffirmed its dedication to the enduring principles of value-based education and to nurturing individuals who strive for excellence while contributing to a more compassionate and responsible society.
