His daughter joined Apeejay School, Greater Noida, in Class IV. It has been eight years now, and her progress has been more than satisfactory. When the family moved to this part of the city, they were looking for a school that had the right balance of academics and co-curricular activities. His colleagues recommended Apeejay School, Noida, but since the family would stay in Greater Noida, they chose this branch.

“The feedback I received was positive. The school had a good reputation, the students were doing well, and everything I heard gave me confidence,” Rajat Khadelwal, father of Charvi, who is in Class XII today, shared in a candid interview.

Why did you choose this school for your children?

I did not want my children to study in overcrowded classrooms. In many schools, you find a large number of students in one class. At Apeejay School, in all these years, I have never seen more than 30 students in a classroom. That was one of the things I appreciated. Back then, my son was enrolled in Class VIII and my daughter in Class IV.

How is your daughter adjusting to the Board workload?

The adjustment really began in Class XI itself. Until Class 10, all subjects were common, and most of her friends were with her. She has chosen Commerce because she inclines to accounting and finance. It was completely her decision to take up Commerce.

Is there a timetable she follows?

When a student is passionate about a subject, he or she naturally looks deeper into it. Charvi is now adjusting to the timelines and has prepared a timetable for herself. She studies her core subjects regularly, and whenever she faces any difficulty, she asks her teachers or takes help from us. Technology is also available now, including AI, so students have more ways to manage the school curriculum and prepare for the next level of examinations and competitive exams.

What study habits help her stay focused and motivated?

She is very focused by nature. Sometimes, we have to ask her to get up from her studies, take a walk, and give herself a break. She can sit for long hours, and it still surprises me how she manages that level of focus. Her approach is simple. When she finds a subject interesting, she prefers to finish it in one go instead of switching here and there. If she gets bored with one subject, she moves to another. This helps her balance heavy topics with lighter ones. For example, she has also taken Psychology, and she finds it relatively lighter in that sense.

Class XII can bring pressure and anxiety. How do you help her manage it?

To be honest, the pressure students face today often comes from within. Sometimes, parents also add to it through their expectations or certain tactics, but I have never bothered her in that way. I simply tell her to be free, give her the best, and do whatever she can. I do not keep focusing on the marks she is scoring because I know she is good and she will do well.

What is your son doing now?

My son passed out a few years back. He is now in the final year of his engineering college. I am satisfied that both my children are doing well academically.
