‘The teacher-child ratio in class is good here’
Apeejay School, Greater Noida, parent shares that his daughter’s Hindi and English vocabulary has improved here
A parent’s perspective often offers a meaningful glimpse into a child’s school journey. Parents today, while choosing a school, are no longer looking at the academic record; they are also looking at their children’s growth, learning progress, classroom experiences, and teacher support. Meet one such parent, Annu Bala, whose daughter, Vamika, is studying in senior KG at Apeejay School, Greater Noida.
In an impromptu interview, she shares the reasons that shaped his choice of school, among other things.
How has her growth been since she joined the school?
She has been doing well since joining the school. I have seen that she is learning better now, and there has been a good change in her overall growth. She can understand things well and responds positively.
How is her learning progress at home?
She is very good at home. Whatever I tell her, she learns. She listens carefully and tries to understand what is being taught. I feel she is good at learning, and her progress at home has also been quite good.
Is there any particular activity that she talks a lot about at home?
She talks about different activities that happen in class. Sometimes she talks about fun days, skating days, and other such activities. It usually depends on what happened in the class that day. Whatever she enjoys in school, she comes home and talks about it.
What skills has she learnt at the school?
She has learnt to socialise very early. I have seen a good improvement in the way she interacts with others. She has also learnt good words in school, and her vocabulary has improved a lot. Both her Hindi and English vocabulary have become much better.
How is the parent-teacher communication?
Whenever we go to school, the teachers answer our questions satisfactorily. They listen to us properly and respond well to our concerns. The teachers are very cooperative, and that makes us feel comfortable as parents.
Why did you choose this school for your daughter?
I chose this school because everything is easily accessible here. I can meet the class teacher easily, and they also tell me when to come and meet. If I want to meet the principal, I can easily meet her too. Also, the teacher and child ratio in the class is very good. There is not too much crowd in the class, so the teacher can pay attention to each child individually, which makes a lot of difference.
