Walking back into this school as a parent filled this alumna with immense joy and deep nostalgia. A rush of memories came flooding back, reminding her of everything she had learnt and lived through within these very walls. It was incredibly special to stand there again, this time holding her child, Takshvi’s hand (now in Class II). Meet Nidhi Kapil (batch 2007) from Apeejay School, Noida.
In a candid interview, this alumna-parent talks about what makes the school feel familiar yet new to her, among other things.
What part of school life did you want your child to experience here?
There are several key experiences I want my child to gain from this school. Specifically, I am looking for a holistic education that fosters a healthy competitive spirit, builds strong confidence and public presence, and cultivates a global mindset rooted in critical thinking.
How has the school helped your child settle into Class 2?
The teachers who have guided her journey so far have been exceptionally supportive, understanding, and caring. Furthermore, the school has played a pivotal role in her overall development, nurturing her behaviour, enhancing her speaking skills, building her confidence, and ensuring she has no stage fear

What changes have you noticed in your child since joining the school?
When my child joined Apeejay School, Noida, in nursery, she was a shy, slightly anxious little girl. She quickly transformed into a happy student who loved interacting with her peers and teachers with the help of everyone. For the past four years, she has gone to school with a smile on her face and returned home excited to share her day.
Which classroom habit or activity does your child talk about most at home?
Every day when my daughter returns from school, she eagerly shares everything she did, from her subjects and activities to the games she played. Above all, her absolute favourite part of the day is the classroom reading time. This habit has not only significantly boosted her confidence but has also immensely improved her speaking skills.
What makes Apeejay School, Noida, feel familiar yet new to you?
While the school remains reassuringly familiar, it has introduced several impressive new advancements. Notably, there is a strong new focus on extracurricular activities, including Olympiads for Classes I through XII and a four-level Spell Bee competition. These initiatives are successfully fostering broad-mindedness and building immense confidence in the students.
What made you choose this school for your daughter?
The school has so many strengths to count upon that were kept in my mind while choosing this school for my daughter, which included supportive and qualified teachers, a strong academic curriculum, a focus on a holistic environment, good communication with parents, modern infrastructure facilities, strong leadership and vision, and a safe and friendly environment.
