To nurture children effectively, schools must adopt a comprehensive approach that addresses their academic, emotional, social, and physical needs. “By creating a safe and supportive environment, implementing an inclusive and engaging curriculum, focusing on holistic development, encouraging social and emotional learning, fostering strong parent-school partnerships, promoting well-being, and encouraging lifelong learning, this school helped my child to grow into well-rounded, confident, and capable individual,” shares Jayant Singh whose daughter Nandikaa passed out of class XII from Apeejay School, Nerul recently.

Read on to know how teachers here teach life skills amongst other things.

How has your daughter’s journey at school been?

We have seen our daughter getting nurtured since nursery and it’s been a satisfying journey. The school curriculum and support have been outstanding so she decided to continue her class XI and XII from Apeejay instead of going for integrated studies. She has grown into an intellectual person with superb interpersonal and leadership qualities.

Which stream did your daughter pick and what are her future goals?

She took PCM with Economics in her class XI. She even cleared her JEE Advance and will join one of the IITs soon.

How were the teachers here?

From junior days till my daughter passed out of school, we have many fond memories of teachers. She has been nurtured by all the teachers across different grades. They were not only a mentor to her but have had her back like a second parent. My daughter has always received unconditional help from all the teachers here.

Why did you select Apeejay as an admission choice?

The first and foremost thing was the welcoming attitude and openness the school showed towards the parents, which was overwhelming. We even received plenty of positive and great reviews about the school from friends and acquaintances across Navi Mumbai. I would like to point out that we declined DPS and got her enrolled in Apeejay.

Which extracurricular activities did your daughter enjoy at school?

She has participated in the event called ‘Material Stitch’ which was hosted and organised by BRC. In cultural activities, she has been an avid Bharatnatyam dancer wherein she has participated in lots of competitions at the Inter-school level. All these experiences have been an interesting journey for her.

Do you feel that school is like a second home for a child?

Apeejay has truly been like a second home for my daughter. Whether it was for academics or fun activities like picnics, camping, and night outs, my daughter has always been happy to be a part of such events.
