Balancing studies with extracurricular activities helps prevent student burnout and alleviates stress. Engaging in non-academic pursuits allows students to recharge, relax, and cultivate various facets of their personalities, fostering better mental health and overall well-being. This holistic approach is often a key factor for parents when choosing a school. Ms Bhoomika Srivastava, for instance, chose Apeejay School, Noida, for her son, Aadi, a class IX student, impressed by the school’s comprehensive offerings.
“During the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, the dedication of the teachers to the Zoom sessions was exceptional,” the mother explains. “Unlike other schools, I felt that Apeejay’s teachers put in sincere efforts. They took the time to ensure that the course was completed and that the children understood everything clearly.”

Here’s what the mother had to say.
How has been your experience at this school so far?
My son and I are both very happy with the school. He enjoys attending, and I’m pleased with the teachers and staff as well. Everything is great and going smoothly. Aadi loves going to school. He remains motivated to attend school every day.
Is he involved in the extracurricular activities?
In the initial days, Aadi was interested in participating in different activities but as of now, he is only interested and spending his extra hours in football. Moreover, he has been participating in athletic races since first grade, consistently finishing in first or second place and he’s very enthusiastic about it.
What made you choose this school?
We shifted from Mumbai to Noida in 2016. After reviewing several schools in Noida, we chose Apeejay because it has a large playground and not everything is air-conditioned, which helps with acclimatisation to the weather. Additionally, the feedback we received about Apeejay was very positive, particularly regarding academic performance and extracurricular activities. He was admitted, and we’ve been happy with our decision ever since. We’ve realised that Apeejay is indeed one of the good schools.
How effective do you think the communication is between parents and teachers in the school?
It’s very good. The teachers effectively communicate with us through the WhatsApp group, and during Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), they are always available to listen to our concerns and feedback. The PTMs and overall communication are excellent.
What do you like the most about this school?
The teachers of this school are great as they focus on teaching students to excel, aiming for grades above 90. We appreciate their dedication to the community, supporting those who may need extra help catching up with coursework.
