The Inter-house Yoga Competition for students of Class V of Apeejay School, Noida, was held in the school auditorium with great enthusiasm and spirit. The event aimed to promote awareness about the importance of yoga in achieving physical fitness, mental peace, emotional stability, and spiritual well-being. Through their graceful performances, students beautifully conveyed the message that yoga is a journey of self-discovery that nurtures harmony between the mind and body.
Participants from all the houses showcased remarkable confidence, flexibility, discipline, and coordination while performing a wide range of yoga asanas. The asanas demonstrated included Garudasana, Standing Chakrasana, Natrajasana, Halasana, Poorn Bhujangasana, Poorn Shalabhasana, Bhujangasana Ek Pad Sirasana, Shirshasana, Sarvangasana, Karnpidasana, Dhanurasana, and Baddha Padmasana. Each team presented a synchronised sequence of postures and concluded with creative formations symbolising unity, strength, and balance. The audience appreciated the dedication and hard work displayed by the young participants.

The competition was adjudged by Ms Vandana Arora, mother of Saksham Arora of Class XII D. She is a renowned Holistic Health Coach, Nutritionist, and Yoga Trainer associated with her globally recognised platform, Wellness by Vandana. Her inspiring presence and expert guidance added immense value to the event.

After careful evaluation, the winners were announced as follows:
First position – Eva Gupta (Class V B, Nehru House)
Second position – Shreshth Tyagi (Class V E, Gandhi House)
Third position – Sonal Singh (Class V A, Nehru House) and Pranavi Dutta (Class V A, Tagore House)
The event concluded on a positive note, leaving everyone inspired by the participants’ dedication and the true essence of yoga. The competition successfully encouraged students to embrace a healthy and balanced lifestyle while fostering teamwork, concentration, and self-discipline.
