It is no secret that internships are pivotal in a student’s learning journey. They bridge the gap between theory and practice, offering hands-on experience in real-world settings. Interns gain valuable insights, develop industry-specific skills, and build professional networks. These experiences enhance classroom knowledge, boost confidence, and help students make informed career choices. Internships empower students to apply what they’ve learned, fostering personal and professional growth that sets a strong foundation for their future endeavours.
This is exactly what Chirag Kapoor, a student at Apeejay School of Management, experienced. Pursuing his Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), the MBA student recently completed his internship from Sunstone, a higher education company that offers career-oriented training interventions for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
His journey into the world of management education has been inspired by a combination of academic curiosity, personal interests, and a desire for professional growth. He completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Galgotias University, Greater Noida. “During my undergraduate years, I actively participated in various extracurricular activities and completed internships, which gave me a taste of real-world business challenges and opportunities,” highlighted Chirag.
He decided to pursue management education because he has always been fascinated by the dynamics of business and leadership. “During my undergraduate studies and previous work experiences, I realised that I had a strong inclination towards problem-solving, strategic thinking, and team collaboration,” the Apeejay student emphasises. Chirag is passionate about contributing to the success of organisations and believes that a management education will equip him with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the business world.
Read edited excerpts of his interview in which he narrates about his recently concluded internship experience:
