How can internships help in attaining career goals?

Tell us  about your role in the internship and how was your experience?

During my internship at DefinEquity Investment Manager Pvt Ltd, I served as a Public Equity Research Analyst. My role primarily involved conducting in-depth research on various companies within the equity market. I analysed financial statements, market trends, and company performance to provide insights and recommendations to assist investors in making informed decisions. Working within the framework of DefinEquity’s mission to help investors identify promising opportunities in equities. I contributed to the research and analysis process that forms the foundation of the company’s services. Additionally, I had the privilege of collaborating with entrepreneurs, offering insights to help them shape their businesses into attractive investment prospects.

How internships accelerate a student’s learning curve? 

My tenure as a Public Equity Research Analyst at DefinEquity proved instrumental in expediting my learning curve. Immersed in live financial analysis, I harnessed empirical insights, bolstering my valuation techniques and refining risk assessment acumen. Collaborating with seasoned professionals enriched my understanding of equity markets’ nuances, fortifying my grasp of portfolio diversification strategies. This internship empowered me with hands-on proficiency, a valuable asset for future financial roles.

Working at DefinEquity, which is a prominent research and intelligence establishment in the equities domain, provided me with a comprehensive exposure to the intricacies of the financial world.

One aspect that significantly contributed to my readiness was the hands-on nature of the internship. I was tasked with conducting thorough research, analysing financial data, and preparing detailed reports opportunities. This not only honed my analytical skills, but also gave me practical insight into how investment decisions are made.
