MBA student shares enriching internship experience at Lenskart

Sheenu Aggarwal is currently pursuing Postgraduate Diploma at Apeejay School of Management (ASM), Dwarka, Delhi. As an MBA student, her future career aspirations are diverse and driven by her multifaceted interests, strengths, and the specialisation pursued during the programme. Tell us about your internship experience at Lenskart?

During my internship at Lenskart, I had the opportunity to take on a crucial role as a marketing intern. My responsibilities included conducting market research, analysing customer data, and assisting in developing marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and drive sales. I was also involved in coordinating promotional campaigns and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution. Additionally, I actively engaged in social media management, content creation, and customer interaction, gaining valuable insights into the dynamics of e-commerce and the eyewear industry. The experience at Lenskart was truly transformative and enriching. The internship provided valuable insights into professional behavior, work ethics, and practical skill application, shaping a successful career path.

How did ASM prepare you for the internship?

College played a vital role in preparing me for the internship by equipping me with essential skills and knowledge. The academic curriculum provided a strong theoretical foundation in subjects directly related to the internship, such as marketing, sales, data analysis, and consumer behavior. Engaging in research projects and coursework honed my research skills, enabling me to conduct market research effectively during the internship. The demanding college schedule taught me valuable time management techniques, which proved invaluable in meeting deadlines and handling multiple responsibilities at the internship. Additionally, participating in presentations, group discussions, and written assignments improved my communication skills, facilitating effective interactions with colleagues and stakeholders.
