The vibrant spirit of Navratri came alive at Apeejay School, Pitampura, as the campus transformed into a dazzling hub of celebration during the Rangilo Raat Dandiya Edition on the evening of 27th September. The school grounds were resplendent with colourful tenting, twinkling lights, and festive décor that instantly set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Teachers, parents, and students arrived in exquisite ethnic attire, infusing the event with authenticity and exuberance. Alongside, an array of food stalls and themed shopping corners offered everything from dandiya sticks and Navratri delicacies to home décor items, ensuring a complete festive experience. A playful swing area added charm for the little ones, making the event enjoyable for all age groups.
The evening was graced by distinguished personalities, including Mr Kapil Mishra, Minister of Law and Justice (Cabinet Minister, Delhi Government), and Ms Charu Pragya, National Media Panellist, BJP, who were warmly welcomed on stage with saplings, symbolising growth, positivity, and the festival’s vibrant spirit. They were joined by the school’s leadership team, including Principal Ms Veena Goel, Vice-Principal Dr Renuka Kamal, and other members of the school community.
The entire event was meticulously orchestrated by the school’s dedicated faculty, whose vibrant energy and superb anchoring made the night truly special. Anchors Ms Jenita Gulati, Ms Yazana Narang, Ms Karuna Mishra, Ms Akshita Bhatia, Ms Vandana Arora, and Ms Meenakshi Verma welcomed attendees with lyrical expressions capturing the essence of Navratri: Garbe ki dhun pe saji hai mehfil pyaari, aapke aane se badhi hai iski chamak saari. Har dil mein ab hai umang aur pyaar. Swagat hai aapka baar-baar.Their speeches beautifully highlighted the celebration of Goddess Durga, positivity, and togetherness, setting a joyous and spirited tone for the evening.

Mr Mishra shared his words of wisdom, “It is truly a delight to be here at Apeejay School and witness this wonderful garba celebration. Over the years, I have often heard about this school; its excellent education, focus on holistic development, and its ability to connect children deeply with culture. Today, seeing it with my own eyes, I can say with confidence that it lives up to its reputation. I would like to congratulate the Principal, the entire administration, the teachers, students, and parents for organising such a fantastic event. The decorations are beautiful, the children’s participation is outstanding, and it is heartening to see parents and teachers actively involved. This event truly reflects the ideal environment of a model school. I wish Maa Bhagwati’s blessings for the school, its students, and everyone associated with it.”
Mr Mishra noted that as festivals such as Navratri, Vijayadashami, Diwali, and Chhath are celebrated, it is important to make a small resolution: this Diwali, to choose and support Made in India products. He concluded by expressing gratitude and invoking victory for all.
Taking the centrestage, Ms Charu shared, “It’s a delight to see everyone dressed beautifully for dandiya, boys and girls full of excitement, it feels like being back in Mumbai and Gujarat. It’s wonderful to see our culture come alive across cities, especially in Delhi. I urge students to learn the meaning behind Dandiya and Garbha. For nine nights, we celebrate the Devi through dance, a form of Bhakti and reverence to the divine feminine, embodying the strength we should embrace. Invite me next year; I’ll join the Dandiya night too!

Ms Veena Goel shared, “Beats, rhythm, and dandiya, what a perfect Navratri celebration! It’s such a joy to see the Apeejay School family come together and celebrate.” She also expressed her heartfelt thanks to everyone for adding their sparkle and making the dandiya night truly memorable.
A unique feature of this edition was the special events segment, which brought the entire community together in celebration. Highlights included a Fashion Show (Mom and Me), Ramp Walk, Couple Dance Dandiya, Best Dressed Male & Female, and Best Dressed Staff Member competitions. The school students stole the show with their enthralling performances, donning traditional cholis and vests, and dancing with infectious energy to lively Gujarati tunes. A dedicated play area for younger children ensured that every guest had an engaging experience throughout the evening.
The event concluded with the announcement of winners, recognising talent and festive spirit.
