Schools play a crucial role in shaping senior students as they transition into senior secondary education. “Teachers here offer focused guidance, helping students adjust to the deeper subject complexity and choose the right stream based on their strengths and interests,” shares Antra Kumari, whose son, Amiya, studies in Class XI at Apeejay School, Greater Noida.
Read on to find out how students are encouraged to explore leadership roles, participate in co-curricular activities, and build essential life skills.
Why did you choose Apeejay School, Greater Noida?
We chose it because we wanted our child, Amiya, not to just study but to truly thrive. Ever since we moved to Greater Noida in 2020, we have visited over 10 schools, if not 20. However, what led us to send Amiya to Apeejay School was its strong academic reputation. What impressed us was how much they emphasised overall growth, be it in sports, leadership, communication, or creativity.

How are the teachers supporting Amiya?
Teachers have truly played a pivotal role in mentoring Amiya since he joined Apeejay School. Their unwavering support and approachability have made a significant difference in his educational journey. By consistently identifying his strengths and weaknesses, they have provided personalised guidance that has allowed him to improve. We’ve witnessed a remarkable transformation in his confidence levels as he has eagerly taken the initiative in various school events. It’s inspiring to see how much he’s grown, and we believe that this positive change is a direct result of the encouragement and support from his dedicated teachers. Their commitment to nurturing his potential has truly made a lasting impact, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Which stream has he picked, and what are his plans?
Getting into Class XI Amiya has chosen PCM with PE as his stream. He plans to appear for the IPMAT exam in 2027, which will get him enrolled into an integrated five-year BBA plus MBA program in IIM colleges.
How is the parent-teacher interaction for senior students?
As a parent of a senior, I must say that I truly appreciate the way the school keeps us updated, whether it be via PTMs, emails, or one-on-one meetings. If there is something significant, they get in touch with me directly and discuss my child’s development as a whole.
